Our technician will make sure you’re in a comfortable position and wipe off any make-up/sunscreen/moisturisers/numbing cream.
He will set up the laser to hit your ink most effectively, cool the skin with our cooling machine and when you’re ready do a test spot. To laser a whole tattoo it usually takes just a few seconds, although we can go as fast or slow as you want.
During this session the laser will shatter the surface layer of ink under the skin. It is non invasive and because the pulse of light is so short it doesn’t burn or break the skin but the reaction causes heat to rise off the tattoo. If your skin is scarred from the tattoo being applied we will also treat that with a fractional laser for no extra cost.

After care varies per person and tattoo. You will be advised how how to best look after yours.
Your skin will feel a bit like sunburn. In most cases the skin is back to normal in a few days but you might experience sensitive skin, swelling, a little bruising or some tiny blisters. With modern machines like ours you should not expect to have large blisters or a wound.
Over the next 8+ weeks your white blood cells will find the broken up ink and remove it from your body through your lymphatic system. When you come back that layer of ink we broke up will be gone ready for us to hit the next layer.
Removal takes time.
While the laser breaks up the ink, it’s your body that has to remove it. 8 weeks is the standard amount of time we recommend between sessions but we often suggest more if we think it will benefit you. There is no way to speed up the process. Higher power will damage your skin and more frequent sessions wont make a difference if your body hasn’t had time to remove the ink.
